I'm Cecelia. I'm a large animal veterinarian, taking it one day at a time. I'm self-driven and I set my standards for myself way too high. I'm a Christian that desires to stay in the Word, and I work at glorifying my Savior each and every day. I have my struggles in life, and my blog posts are the hot fire of emotions that roll in like summer thunderstorms. Take them with the grain of salt.

floating
Turn and feel the bunching and gathering of a tight wound ball of muscle, tendons, sinew, electric with energy ready to run. Let loose and the adrenaline kicks in, sending you sky high above the ground as you fly over the brown grass that's given way to late fall. Silken mane caresses your hands as you flow with the motion of gathering and extending, gathering and extending, over and over again with each stride. The rhythmic snorts set a tempo in your head and you never want to stop. Your body melds with that of the horse as you gallop across the field, floating, floating, escaping for a short time. The skill that you can never attain while on your own two feet comes easily while aboard this 1200 pound animal. Just let go. The second you let him find his full stride as his feet pound the ground faster and faster, just let go and live that moment. It seems so impossible in every other aspect of life. Always planning ahead, always anxious about the next day's events. Yet that gallop through that field, those valuable seconds, they're a taste of simply living. Pure, true joy like no other.
